Meet Jill Dagion
Bridge Builder, Relationship Cultivator, Zen Communicator
Jill specializes in connecting different audiences together with laser-focused messaging. Some teams are stuck in their own silos — working together, but separate from other groups or departments. Jill excels at building bridges among those teams to get them to work toward a common goal with teamwork and open communication.
Jill’s background is in science and technology, so she understands technical processes and has the skills to break down those processes so others can relate to them. She knows that sustainable businesses are built upon how employees perceive information. Getting a team to understand the organization’s goals is integral to affecting change and, ultimately, the bottom line.
5 Questions For Jill
What is your proudest client success and why?
When working in the marketing department at DuPont, I was challenged to increase our employee attendance at company-sponsored seminars. By shifting the way our department communicated with the science and technology employees, we eventually tripled the amount of attendees at our seminars. A small shift in how the information was presented to them made a world of difference in capturing their attention and encouraging them to attend. It was enlightening to understand the importance of opening a line of communication in a way which our intended audience could relate.
What are you most looking forward to with your employment at Collaboration?
I’m excited to help my clients uncover their roadblocks and understand what’s preventing them from achieving breakthrough performance. The “Aha!” moment is one that I can’t wait to be present for. I look forward to developing relationships and learning about our clients in California and across the country.
What is one thing people don’t commonly know about you?
I’m a certified yoga instructor! I started practicing yoga at a young age, and it’s a big part of my life. I begin each day with a morning meditation and yoga practice. I really try to take time out of my day for myself to keep myself centered.
What is something personal we should know?
I love the outdoors. Getting lost (figuratively speaking) in nature and in the mountains is a great way to unplug and unwind. I think it’s wonderful when you don’t have any cell reception! I enjoy getting away from civilization for a little while.
What is something you are looking forward to in the future?
I look forward to building relationships and creating community, not just within Collaboration, but within the greater community too. I think that connecting with people is so important; getting involved in the community and volunteering is something that motivates and challenges me.
