Rachell Newburn Earns Coveted Toastmasters ALB Award
The Collaboration Business Consulting Marketing Consultant seeks to better her community through creating strong leaders
Rachell Newburn, Marketing Consultant at Collaboration Business Consulting and Vice President of Public Relations for SLO Toastmasters Club 83, earned her Advanced Leadership Award Bronze (ALB) from Toastmasters International, a world leader in communication and leadership development. Through the strenuous public speaking program, Newburn strengthened her skills as an expert communicator and leader.
To be eligible for the ALB award, a Toastmasters member must have achieved a Competent Leader award, a Competent Communicator award, served for at least six months as a club officer, participated in a district-sponsored club officer training program and conducted multiple presentations from The Leadership Excellence Series. Remarkably, less than two percent of Toastmasters are distinguished with both the Competent Communicator and Competent Leader Awards, which is a group to which Newburn belongs.
Completing the requirements for the award takes time and commitment. Newburn was motivated to earn the ALB designation to enhance her public speaking and leadership skills, which in turn benefits her clients at Collaboration Business Consulting.
“As a professional, I strive toward becoming a strong communicator and leader to my clients and my community, which ultimately can inspire and motivate change,” Newburn said. “With my Toastmasters ALB accomplishment and my dedication to the advancement of Club 83, I’m able to encourage leadership in our community through my work at Collaboration and beyond.”
As VP of PR for Toastmasters Club 83, Newburn has been an active contributor to the club’s marketing success and PR campaigns, creating an ongoing guest speaker program, managing social media and engaging with current and potential Toastmasters.
At Collaboration, Newburn encourages her clients to define and amplify their marketing messages about the solutions they provide through consistent and creative brand messaging. She enjoys seeing her clients succeed in their marketing efforts and business growth.
“Rachell lives her life through Collaboration’s mission of inspiring, educating and empowering proactive individuals to reach their full potential. Becoming an effective communicator takes time and practice, which ultimately leads to the coveted skill of becoming a collaborative leader,” said Michael Gunther, Founder and Managing Partner at Collaboration Business Consulting. “We are proud of her achievement through her work with Toastmasters and are excited to see what she will accomplish next.”
